Description
The City of Laguna Beach is seeking motivated, skilled, and dependable individuals to join our Public Works Department as a Wastewater Utility Worker I or II (DOE/DOQ). This recruitment may be used to fill vacancies at either level based on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
As a member of the Wastewater Division, you will help maintain and protect the City’s wastewater collection system, lift stations, and related facilities that serve our community. Whether you are beginning your career in wastewater operations or bringing journey-level experience, this is an opportunity to work alongside a dedicated team while making a direct impact on public health and environmental stewardship.

Qualifications
Any combination demonstrating the ability to effectively and successfully perform the duties of the position is considered qualifying. A typical combination is as follows:
Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
Experience
Wastewater Utility Worker I- Two (2) years of general maintenance or repair work. Experience in the repair of municipal sewer system experience is highly desirable.
Wastewater Utility Worker II- Three years (3) y
