Job Summary Provides technical assistance to internal and external customers regarding Human Resources functions and activities as well as performs general office duties and provides administrative support. Essential Functions - Handles front desk duties to include receiving and screening telephone calls and/or visitors. - Performs full secretarial and administrative duties with only general instructions; types and edits correspondence and memoranda using a variety of office and word processing equipment. - Updates Human Resource Information System (HRIS) and assists applicants regarding the City’s online application process. - Completes salary surveys and compiles information for annual market study of city positions. - Completes surveys from other cities and public entities regarding salaries, benefits and job duties. - Assists supervisors with hiring process and the City’s applicant tracking system. - Posts employment opportunities on the City’s applicant tracking system. - Processes applicants/new employees utilizing applicant tracking system as well as outside pre-employment vendor software. - Performs a variety of delegated research tasks and projects; documents findings; prepares reports, graphs, charts, and other documents as needed; presents results upon completion. - Coordinates training including arrangements for classes, establishing time and location, and scheduling attendees; photocopies class materials; ensures meeting room is booked, handouts, and equipment and facilitator are prepared in advance of start time; maintains an accurate record of attendance and distributes Certificates of Completion to attendees through Laserfiche. - Scans documents and accurately files electronic records following procedures and policies which ensure accuracy, compliance with local and State regulations for records retention, and security of confidential information contained in all types of records. - Assists with Risk Management and Benefits Administrat
