Job OverviewThe Assistant Buyer plays a key role in supporting the Buying team in developing and managing a strategic, guest-focused product assortment across onboard retail shops. This role contributes to assortment planning, vendor management, sales analysis, and operational execution to deliver a world-class shopping experience to cruise guests.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to product selection and procurement across categories including beauty, apparel, handbags and accessories, liquor, jewelry, souvenirs, and travel essentials
- Analyze inventory levels, sales trends, and guest preferences to inform buying decisions and replenishment strategies
- Manage purchase order processes, including coordination of shipment schedules and inventory distribution across cruise ships
- Maintain accurate product data, pricing, and tracking within internal systems, ensuring data integrity
- Partner with suppliers and logistics teams to resolve order discrepancies and support on-time delivery
- Analyze sales reports and provide insights on product performance, identifying opportunities to optimize assortment and drive revenue
